Announcing our latest London winners!
What a fantastic evening we had yesterday, returning to our regular London MonologueSlam home at Theatre Royal Stratford East. Our judging panel included Michelle Giovanni, Casting Associate at Shaheen Baig Casting, Melissa Gethin Clarke, Casting Associate at Theo Park Casting, Ray Böhm, Casting Assistant at Andy Pryor Casting, Kimberley Donovan, an agent from The Artist’s Partnership, Neil McNulty, an agent from Conway van Gelder Grant, Alexander Cooke, an agent from Hamilton Hodell and Koby Adom, a theatre and TV director. The evening was hosted by MSLAMUK favourite, Chizzy Akudolu and of course it wouldn’t be a London MonologueSlam without the hilarious Shoot From The Hip improv troupe!
We had not one, but TWO Golden Ticket Winners, who were plucked from the audience to get up on stage and perform a monologue. Well done to Lyra Murray and we also had Malachi Foster Murphy, who had performed his monologue as part of the line up for Friday’s #JuniorEdition at Theatre Peckham and enjoyed it so much he’d come along for the Slam prepped and ready in case he got picked!
While the judges deliberated we enjoyed a beautiful performance from singer Sienna Hamilton, thank you so much for keeping us entertained!
