The much anticipated Graduate Edition MonologueSlamUK is back! Presented by ‘TriForce Creative Network’, ‘Spotlight’ and ‘Theatre Royal Stratford East’.

Book your tickets now! http://www.stratfordeast.com/whats-on/all-shows/monologue-slam

MonologueSlam Graduate Edition is for actors who have graduated from training in 2014 or 2015. In keeping with our ethos of increasing access and inclusivity within the industry, this will include all those who have graduated from drama school (including Drama UK accredited courses and schools which are not Drama UK accredited) or from a university drama course.

MonologueSlamUK is a showcase like no other, with a DJ, improvisation group, musician and host (Chizzy Adudolu from Holby City) all making it an explosive night of entertainment in itself. It’s a friendly competition to showcase some of the hottest talent from across the UK drama schools, with a 1 Minute Smackdown Round, 3 Minute Heavyweight Round, and a year’s free membership to Spotlight for the winner!

Held in the main space of the 400 seat ‘Theatre Royal Stratford East’, it’s a free opportunity to represent your drama school and show the industry what you do best. Past industry judges have included casting directors such as Amy and Dan Hubbard (Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit, King Kong/Downton Abbey), Hannah Miller (RSC), Charlotte Bevan (National Theatre), Daniel Edwards (Mr Selfridge/Sherlock) and Gary Davy (Band of Brothers/Strikeback), with agents such Hamilton Hodell, Independent, Williamson & Holmes and Waring & McKenna.

Femi plays the role of “Sponge” starring alongside Kelly Brook, Scot Williams and Georgia Groom. Oyeniran is currently putting the finishing touches to the script for The New Black Sheep, a film based on the London riots due to go into production later this year.

On completing his law degree at the London School of Economics (LSE) in 2008, Femi decided to focus on acting. Femi had already starred in genre-defining films Kidulthood and Adulthood alongside Noel Clarke and Adam Deacon, playing the role of ‘Moony’.
