After a lengthy audition process, 20 actors are given the opportunity to perform for a welcoming audience and a panel of people in a position to move their careers forward.
Maintaining that it should ALWAYS be free for actors to perform, TriForce Creative Network (TCN) have produced an event that helps talent that may not have access to the usual routes into the industry. Every event has an industry panel of at least four judges, all of whom are in the position to give actors a job!
We believe that ALL should have the opportunity to nurture their talent and have it shine, no matter what their circumstances or background; experience has shown us that it is through these avenues that the freshest, untapped talent can be found.
There are many success stories that have occurred through MonologueSlam UK. Actors have booked jobs for Movies, TV, Theatre and secured representation with top agents.
With a host, improvisation round, DJ and musician, it’s an evening of entertainment in itself, open to actors from all walks of life and showing only the hottest talent. Plus, with past industry judges including casting directors Amy Hubbard (The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings), Dan Hubbard (King Kong/The Bourne Ultimatum), Shaheen Baig Casting (Locke/28 Weeks Later) the BBC, Royal National Theatre of England and the Royal Shakespeare Company, if there’s any place that can take your career to the next level, it’s MonologueSlamUK!
Actors can battle it out in either the 1 minute round or the 3 minute round, with the opportunity for the two winners to come back for the following event to defend their title amongst a completely new set of industry judges!
The TCN regularly receive support from Film, TV and Stage stars such as Aml Ameen (Sense8) Daniel Kaluuya (Sicario) David Ajala (Fast and Furious 6) Oliver Stark (Into the Badlands) Dominique Tipper (Expanse) Nicholas Pinnock (Fortitude) Shavani Seth (Homeland) who all attend MonologueSlam UK.
