Vee Tames was the winner of this round, with a monologue by Peter Morris. Paul Bradley took the Special Mention with his monologue from Capstick Comes Home by Tony Capstick.
Up next were the 1 Minute Round where Annie Mwampulo, having recently returned home to Colchester after studying in London, was awarded a Special Mention for her performance from Marlowe’s Dr Faustus. Taking the trophy for this round was Winston Sarpong with a hilarious piece from D. M. Larson. In the heavy weight round, Jenny Mills won the trophy with a great performance of Who’s Afraid of the Working Class by Andrew Bovell, and Benjamin Powell earning the Special Mention with a Finn Kennedy piece.
The judges chose Winston to be the Overall Winner and he will be invited to compete in the National Final on December 12th.
