MonologueSlam is a nationwide industry showcase for actors from all backgrounds. 22 actors are given the opportunity to perform for a welcoming audience and a panel of industry professionals who are in a position to move their careers forward. This event helps performers that may not have access to the usual routes into the industry and provides agents and casting directors with an avenue to source fresh talent.
The show consists of a youth round (performers aged between 11-17) 1 minute round and 3 minute round, where each actor will perform a monologue of their choice.

Nicola joined Milburn Browning as a talent agent at its inception in 2011 and has gone on to build her own list of successful clients.As well as representing actors, Nicola takes a special interest in writer/performers and also represents theatrical productions.
Nicola’s Dad used to drive the tour bus for Black Sabbath. Well it was actually more of a van, with a hole in the floor under the pedals.
Jess studied Drama at the University of Bristol and spent a brief spell working in television before moving into talent management. She is an Associate Agent at BBA Management, where she specialises in commercials and actor-musician work. BBA Management represents actors and creatives within the theatre, television and film industries. Prior to working at BBA, Jess freelanced at Curtis Brown, United Agents and with Casting Director Kevin Riddle.
Armed with a Bachelors in Business Management from University of Sheffield and a Masters in Acting from Guildhall School of Music and Drama (Graduating 2019), Actor (BBC’s Dr. Who) and Writer (Assata Taught Me, The Gate Theatre), Kalungi Ssebandeke has set up Ensi Talent Group, an exciting new Talent Agency that connects World-Class Talent to creatives with a World-Wide Reach.
Roy began writing plays in 1990 and is now arguably one of the country’s leading dramatists. In 2000 he was the joint-winner of the George Devine Award and in 2001 he was awarded the Evening Standard Award for Most Promising Playwright. He was awarded an OBE for Services to Drama in the 2008 Birthday Honours List.

Television work includes Let It Snow (Endor Productions/Sky); Fallout (Company Pictures/Channel 4, Screen Nation Award for Achievement in Screenwriting); Offside (BBC, Winner of BAFTA Children’s Film & TV Award for Best Schools Drama) and Babyfather (BBC). For film he has co-written Fast Girls (DJ Films).
Radio work includes adaptations of ER Braithwaite’s A Choice of Straws and To Sir With Love as well as original plays Tell Tale and Homeboys. He has also created and written four series of Interrogation for BBC Radio 4.
Having initially studied theatrical directing at drama school in Barcelona, Marta directed theatre productions in London and Barcelona.
Since then, Marta has worked in casting for television, films, commercials and music videos, working with casting directors such as Sue Needleman, Marylin Johnson and Colin Jones.
She has been an integral part of the casting process for award-winning TV shows (both children and adult television productions in Britain and America, including the BBC and National Geographic). This included casting 3 of the 4 nominees for Best Young Performer at the Children BAFTAs 2018.
She is also the casting director for the upcoming independent feature film ‘ A Grown Woman.”
Brooke Kinsella joined InterTalent (formerly Cole Kitchenn) in 2015 and is an actress turned agent who trained at the Anna Scher Theatre School amongst alumni such as Kathy Burke and Dexter Fletcher. She had an extensive 25 year professional career which included playing the lead role in Peter Kosminsky’s No Child Of Mine which won a BAFTA for Best Drama and has appeared in many well known TV dramas.
In 2004 she became a household name when she landed the role of Kelly Taylor in EastEnders. She has also performed extensively on stage and her last professional production before joining Intertalent was working with Alan Ayckbourn in his world premiere of ‘Roundelay.’ In recent years Brooke has also become known for her avid campaigning against knife crime after her sixteen year old brother Ben was tragically murdered in 2008 and in December 2011 she was awarded an MBE by Prince Charles for her services to knife crime prevention.
In January 2010 Brooke also realised a life-long ambition by opening her own theatre school and agency for children aged 5-16 years called True Stars Academy, which gives young people the confidence and tools to develop their talents in acting, dancing and singing. She is passionate about nurturing and developing talent from an early age and starting people off on their industry path!
Rob is a prominent casting director, who together with his LA based business partner Kerrie Mailey CSA, works on projects in both the UK and US. He has previously cast for the likes of Netflix, Amazon, Sony, Sky, Disney, Lionsgate/E!, BBC etc.
He has spent his life in the arts, having previously founded and operated RKA Talent, a successful talent agency, and having a career as an actor and dancer.
As well as working with experienced and award winning actors, Rob is a big believer in discovering and nurturing new talent, and is currently casting for the next series of Sky’s ‘Bulletproof’, and feature film ‘Bloody London’.
THE artiste formerly known as LORRAINE CATO has now been officially rebranded as Ms. ELLE CATO.
Having spent several years providing the backing for some of today’s major contemporary artists, notably the UK super-group JAMIROQUAI, LISA STANSFIELD, WILL YOUNG and ROBBIE WILLIAMS, plus a brief stint co-fronting the UK Jazz-Soul outfit INCOGNITO, Ms. CATO has now stepped forward as a solo performer.
With this long overdue move she showcases her new collection of original songs with a brand new release simply entitled I AM. With two major record contracts signed before reaching the tender age of 18, it was clear that ELLE (pronounced L ) was destined to be a formidable musical force to be reckoned with. Her versatility has enabled her to confidently hone her unique style in a very competitive industry, whilst paying dues to the exemplary divas from whom she’s drawn musical inspiration.
